An Abundant Mindset
“The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change their future merely by changing their attitude.” ~ Oprah Winfrey
Pay attention to what you’re thinking. A younger version of myself would have scoffed at the idea that our thoughts can manifest our reality. Now that I am older and wiser, I’ve had experiences that give evidence to the power of our thoughts.
When a chef creates a new recipe, an artist paints a portrait, a writer composes a poem. When you’re thinking about a friend and the phone rings, when you picture yourself as successful and achieve first place, when you imagine getting a new job and an offer of employment shows up in your inbox. When dreams come true.
I believe that our thoughts are so powerful, that we can affect our destiny in every possible way. With an abundant mindset, you can think of yourself as capable, even when someone in authority says you don’t have the talent or skill. You overcome every obstacle with the right attitude.
Two years ago, I wrote a blog titled, “Think, Feel, Speak Write: Manifest Your Authentic Life.” Since then, I’ve gathered more evidence of the truth of this message. I believed that my aging dog, Lola, would overcome the odds and manage the twenty-four-hour trip from Saudi Arabia to Panama, and she did. When my husband was sick in the hospital, I stayed focused on a positive outcome. Every day I thought and said the words, “all is well.” He is now healthy and on the road to a complete recovery.
I’ve started reading The Course in Miracles. The message is the same. “You are responsible for what you think. The mind is very powerful and never loses its creative force. It never sleeps. Thought and belief combine into a power surge that can move mountains.”
You control the doorway to your mind. You choose what you think and meditate on. Make mindfulness a daily practice. Before you know it, it will become a habit. You’ll grow your own body of evidence, as your positive thoughts manifest into a more joyful and beautiful life.
