Freedom & Sacrifice

What does freedom mean to me?

The right to choose “my life.”

My own thoughts, beliefs,

values, and the truths of my heart,

without aggressing or forcing my choices onto others.

Freedom isn’t a word meant only for me,

it is a right for everyone, for every living being.

Freedom and judgement cannot exist together.

Aggression and oppression are tethers

that bind our freedom to the will of others.

True freedom dissolves the concept of others.

It recognizes there is only one.

Creation can be altered, but it cannot be undone.

Wars between us can never be won.

We are not the creators of the world,

we are the manifesters of our own destinies.

It is not our right to choose the path of others.

We are responsible and accountable for our own decisions.

It is not our right to deny someone else’s freedom for the greater good.

We can choose to sacrifice ourselves,

But we cannot demand this of anyone else.

The freedom of choice

has the power to transform suffering into sacrifice,

but actions made under force become resentment.

Loving kindness and generosity of spirit,

inspires others to like action.

True freedom is connected to unconditional faith.

When we trust the process of life, all is well.
